The RE Curriculum at Spa Bermondsey is adapted from the agreed syllabus from SACRE, in order to match the needs of our pupils. RE lessons are part of the KS3 Humanities curriculum and the ASDAN curriculum in KS4.
We explore significant celebrations, religions and beliefs. Lessons develop students’ understanding of their own beliefs, and the beliefs of others. They develop understanding of themselves as individuals. Through the use of engaging, creative and sensory activities, students learn to value and respect differences and similarities. Students learn about the different faith groups represented in Southwark and the world beyond.
We develop and celebrate our sense of community through weekly assemblies and other whole school events.
