I am a parent of a child with Autism in Spa school. I became a parent governor in 2019. As a parent governor, I work to support pupils and parents including staff members. I ensure that the social interaction, communication, mental health, and wellbeing needs of pupils are met as well as ensuring the school maintains a high standard of education, health and care needs of all pupils. I have over 20 years of experience working with children, young people, and adults in education, health, and social care. Also, my interests are Art and Design, technology, music, sustainable environment, and business enterprise. I volunteer as a community health ambassador, and part of other community groups.
Jackie Anyadike- Chima
Currently having a child at Spa Bermondsey for over 6 years and being a very active parent in my child's progress has made me part and parcel of the school. I feel very well placed to be involved in the progress of the school in my role as a Parent Governor. I currently work in the Health and Social care sector and my interests would be particularly focused on continuing to support the school in the area of creating avenues of progressive independence for all the children. I am more than delighted to be a part of the Spa Bermondsey Local Governing body and look very forward to working with the entire Spa community.
